Common Law Admission Test


As you would have noticed in Best Colleges in India for undergraduate degree in Law, most of the premier institutes in India accept CLAT Scores for admission to their undergraduate integrated course. The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) is an all India entrance examination, conducted on rotation by 17 National Law Universities (NLUs) for admissions to their Under-Graduate and Post-Graduate degree programs. Thus it becomes important to understand CLAT better to improve your chances of getting admission to your dream college. Listed below are some pointers to be kept in mind when appearing for CLAT.

Expected time of Test: any time in the month of May

Standard expected: 10+2 

Duration: 2 Hours

Maximum Marks: 200

Number of Questions: 200

Subject Areas with weightage:

English including comprehension: 40 marks

General Knowledge/ Current Affairs: 50 marks

Elementary Mathematics: 20 marks

Legal Aptitude: 50 marks

Logical Reasoning: 40 marks

Exam Type: objective

Question Type: multiple choice questions

Negative marks: yes. (-0.25 for each wrong answer)
